The European project BREATH, under the Erasmus+ program and coordinated by the University of Opole (Poland), aims to promote exercise in patients with chronic respiratory diseases (CRD). A team of researchers from the University of Cadiz (UCA), from the "MOVE-IT" and "Health Physiotherapy" groups, attended a transnational meeting in Lisbon to address the prevalence and management of CRDs. With the collaboration of institutions from several countries and the support of SEPAR, BREATH will develop rehabilitation programs, enhance professional training, and educate patients and families, including a distance learning platform and a database of best practices to optimize physical activity and quality of life.

UCA researchers are leading the European BREATH (Erasmus+) project, which focuses on using physical activity as a key therapy for patients with chronic respiratory conditions (CRDs) like COPD or asthma. The UCA team recently attended a meeting in Lisbon. BREATH, coordinated by the University of Opole (Poland) and with European partners, aims to develop rehabilitation programmes, improve professional training, and educate patients and families. They will also create a distance learning platform to optimise CRD management.

Chronic Respiratory Diseases (CRDs), with their increasing prevalence and high cost, are being addressed by the BREATH project to improve patients' quality of life. This project aims to transform rehabilitation and physical activity into a central therapeutic intervention, developing tailored programmes and strengthening the training of healthcare professionals (physiotherapists, nurses, etc.), as well as educating patients, families, and organizations. Furthermore, BREATH fosters innovation in European higher education, promoting the creation of micro-credentials and the modernization of university systems to enhance educational relevance and cross-border collaboration, activating the knowledge triangle.

The Pro-Telde project aims to provide the target groups with basics skills to exploit digital solutions for teaching.
