Description
Hydrotherapy with heated sea at 32° C at Thalassotherapy Crikvenica is performed in a therapeutic pool which provides ideal conditions for the implementation of various medical programs, including allergic and other diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract - swimming and exercises in the water increase the depth of breathing, improve lung capacity, accelerate circulation and heart rate, and cause dilation of the airways and strengthening of the respiratory muscles. The air in the pool is warm and humid, thus reducing the possibility of provoking bronchospasms; of laryngectomy patients - physical rehabilitation of laryngectomy patients in the pool is carried out only at Thalassotherapy Crikvenica in Croatia. The aim of the therapy is to relax, improve mobility and increase muscle strength, which helps to improve the function of the respiratory muscles and protect lung function. It is carried out using special aids (cannulas) to prevent the water from entering the lungs through the opening in the throat (tracheostomy). A swimming school is also organized for laryngectomized patients, where they learn how to use special aids in the pool and swimming techniques under the expert guidance of a licensed instructor, which they can also use outside their stay in a special medical rehabilitation facility. The therapy is carried out under the supervision of a physiotherapist and is prescribed and monitored by a physiologist, a pediatric allergist, a pulmonologist and an ENT doctor. The hydrotherapy sessions are carried out in groups of up to 15 people.

Innovation
Hydrotherapy (Greek: hidor - water, therapeia - treatment) is a term used to describe the use of water for treatment. Immersion hydrotherapy, i.e. the immersion of the patient's body or body parts in water, utilises the unique physical and thermal properties of water.

Evaluation System
The health-promoting effect of sea baths has been known since ancient times, which, in combination with the findings of modern medicine, deliver optimum results in improving psychophysical health.

Assessment
The effect of hydrotherapy procedures is suitable for the respiratory organs.
