Epidemiology, Patients’ perspective
Summary
Asthma affects different aspects of patient’s life and can be a reason of increased fatigue. Thus, the aim of our study was to assess the level of fatigue and its determinants in Lithuanian children with asthma.
Relevance
Asthma severity, symptoms and control are factors signifi- cantly associated with the level of fatigue in children with asthma. Other related factors includes general child’s health condition, presence of concomitant allergies and socioeco- nomic status. While the latter one cannot be easily modified, better treatment and control of asthma and concomitant diseases can contribute to the improvement of child’s condition and productivity.
