The BREATH Multiplier Event gathered a total of 50 participants, including healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, patient representatives, students, and stakeholders from various sectors and academic disciplines, all united by a common interest in promoting physical activity for individuals with chronic respiratory conditions. The event served as a key opportunity to share knowledge, present the outcomes of the BREATH project, and reflect on interdisciplinary strategies to improve the treatment and rehabilitation of these patients.
The conference functioned both as a summary of the project’s results and as a platform for promoting future directions in the integrated management of chronic respiratory diseases.

The conference was officially opened by Dr. Agata Mroczek, Project Coordinator, followed by a speech from Ms. Sofiia Struchkova, the Project’s Administrative Coordinator, who emphasized the role of Erasmus+ partnerships in fostering international collaboration in higher education.
Dr. Agata Mroczek introduced the overall concept of the BREATH project, outlined its objectives, and discussed its significance in the context of Europe’s public health challenges. She also presented the project’s website, highlighting its key features and available resources.
Throughout the day, the intellectual outputs developed within the project were presented:

  • Dr. Agata Mroczek delivered a comparative analysis of local and international contexts, illustrating the diversity and adaptability of rehabilitation approaches across partner countries.
  • Dr. Antonina Kaczorowska introduced the Transnational Database of Best Practices, which compiles effective, evidence-based examples from across Europe, intended for use in both clinical and educational settings.
  • Dr. Katarzyna Szwamel showcased the BREATH e-learning platform – a modern tool designed to support professionals and students in flexible, self-directed, and evidence-based learning in the care of patients with chronic respiratory diseases.

The conference concluded with an open discussion, during which participants shared reflections on the project’s achievements and explored opportunities for the future application of its tools and resources.
Attendees also gained insights into the practical application of evidence-based exercise programs and their positive impact on patients’ quality of life. The event fostered interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and dialogue around key challenges in the treatment and rehabilitation of respiratory diseases.
A representative of the BREATH project’s associated partner, the Xtreme Fitness Gyms network, was also present at the conference.
This event effectively highlighted the accomplishments of the BREATH project and emphasized the long-term value of international collaboration in developing patient-centered care strategies.
Thanks to engaging presentations, collaborative discussions, and the presentation of tangible project outcomes, the conference in Opole marked a successful and meaningful culmination of the international dissemination activities of the BREATH project.
